Performing Pianist, 2016- present    

Booked gigs in NYC, Paris, Chicago, Milwaukee, Austin, and Asheville as both solo pianist and with Voodis. Have held residencies at NYC venues Cafe Erezulie, Unlisted, and Tawny, and have performed at many places such as:

  • Market Hotel

Founder/Creative Director for Voodis Creative Collective, 2020-present

Founder/Resident Life Advisor for Voodis House, 2022-2023

Voodis is a creative collective of artists focused on creating intentional art that provides the audience with a unique experience every time they interact with it.

 

  • Conceptualized and produced three hip hop/jazz fusion albums, with new album "Tree of Hearts" coming out February 6th. 

  • Coordinated and designed 2 fashion shows, designed and created our clothing line utilizing embroidery and upcycling

  • Set up gigs and perform.

  • Serve as creative director and project manager, promote and manage the brand, and help artists bring their ideas to fruition.

 

Served as Founder/Resident Life Advisor, treasurer and house manager for Voodis House Co-Op on Lawrence Campus. Created a music studio, oversaw management of music/sound equipment purchase and maintenance, meal planning/groceries, home cleaning/maintenance schedule for 15 residents. Planned, cooked meals and organized/coordinated on-site concerts/shows and other events. Website that I created: voodis.square.site

 

Creative Director/Project Manager for multi-media fashion shows, 2022 - present

Produced two shows that featured designs from over 15 young US designers and explored ideas of beauty and distortion through themes of identity, infection and disgust. I composed the music as I created the clothes and sewed, coordinated, planned/promoted as well as performed piano and composed the music for these events. 

 

Creative Director/Project Manager for six jazz albums, 2017- present  

Initiate, organize, arrange, perform piano and serve as distributor, producer and lead promoter for five jazz albums. Managed music project from start to finish and collaborated with seven peers. Successfully placed albums with all major streaming services. The earlier music is under Jonah Trudeau, new music is under the name Voodis.​

Student & Mentor/Private Piano Lessons, 2009-present   

Began classical lessons starting at 8 years old, and began studying jazz at 15. Lessons focus on technical skills, transposition, improvisation and repertoire. Continue to seek out new mentors/learn new musical styles. Have studied closely with Bill Carrothers, Luther Allison, Dan Redner, and many more.

Delegate to Tanzania, Experiment in International Living, 2019    

Chosen to participate in an immersive homestay language and cultural study in Tanzania; funded through a self-generated Go Fund Me Campaign. Projects included producing music with local musicians and leading a music project with peers and agricultural work.

Project Manager and Production Consultant, Hoi Meng Apparel LLC, New York, New York, August 2023-August 2024

Was the first hire at this company, designed/assembled office, helped launch and managed projects for company’s brand Onassis, met with customers to discuss about current and potential projects, sourced fabric and production for customer products.


 

Production Intern, Still Here, New York, New York, August 2023

Assisted in quality checking orders, organizing stock, and studied the brand’s clothing to assist with production.


 

Marketing/Events Intern and Mobile Embroidery Technician, New York Embroidery Studio, New York, New York, June-September 2022 and June 2023-Present

Drove a mobile embroidery studio/truck throughout New York City, managing and coordinating on-site embroidery pop ups at special events and employee events. Responsibilities included overseeing embroidery process, operating a model ABC123 machine, customer service, financial management, marketing, event coordination, scheduling, social media promotion and general office and marketing admin. duties. Clients included Urban Outfitters, Spotify and the US Open. After a summer 2022 internship, I was invited to return for summer 2023 and I am currently working as an events/marketing contractor. 

 

Instructor and Embroidery Specialist, Lawrence University Makerspace, Appleton, WI

January 2023 - present

Train students to use equipment such as embroidery machines, sewing machines, 3D printers and laser cutters. Assist students in bringing their creative ideas to fruition.

Board Member/Engineer SOL Studios, Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, Appleton, WI 2020 - present

Train and mentor students and musician groups on how to use music studio equipment, help manage budgets and promote and book events at this student-led studio.

Customer Service/Receptionist, Lawrence University's Wellness Center, 2020-2023

Help guests check in, manage laundry and clean facilities, answer questions about facilities and problem-solve. Assisted with COVID testing in 2020-2022.

Waiter and Host, Thai Fresh, Austin, TX, 2017-2021    

Served customers at this highly popular nationally-recognized Austin restaurant. Responsibilities included food marketing, customer service, and shift scheduling.  Additionally, working at and cleaning the mobile food trailer, stocking inventory and general duties as assigned.
